How to Connect Your Playstation 2 to the Internet

Connecting Your Playstation to the Internet is Very Simple If You Follow These Easy Steps

Scary Good
The PlayStation gaming console gives you the right to connect to the Internet to play some of their games that are available for Internet play. One of the most famous games for online play is Socom. This famous battle game allows you the right to connect to people all over the world, create friends lists, and even come together as one and create what is called a clan. None of this however would be possible without the ability to connect to the Internet. Here we will discuss exactly what you need.

1) The most important component and most obvious thing you need is Internet. If your household has no Internet connection then you can stop reading now. If your household does have Internet without a router then continue reading here. If your house has a router then skip to section 1a. Now if you don't have a router you are going to have to disconnect your computer or what ever your Internet is connected to when you decide to go online. Once you disconnect it you will be ready to plug it into the part you need to buy, which I will go over in section 2.

1a) If you are connecting with a router then all you will need as of right now is another cable, long enough to reach the next piece of equipment that you will need to buy for your PlayStation.

READ THIS BEFORE GOING TO SECTION 2
If you have a big PlayStation you are going to need to read section 2. However if you have a smaller PlayStation you can skip section 2, as your PlayStation was made ready for the Internet when you bought it.

2) This is where you will need to throw down some money. For your big PlayStation you are going to need to go out and buy a network adapter. It easily connects to the back of your PlayStation and has outlets for phone line Internet and Ethernet based Internet.

3) Now that you have the ability to connect to the Internet, you need to hook it all up and put in what ever game you want to play. First of all make sure the game is capable of connecting to the Internet which you can find out by looking at the bottom of the case. Once in the game connecting to the Internet will be a breeze and you should be connected to people all over the world.

A lot of games have Internet capabilities, but that doesn't mean a lot of people play. Some of the more popular games include any Socom. Obviously the most up to date game will have the most players. Any up to date sports game should have a pretty big Internet base as well.

The PS3 "Home" is design for a more convenient game for gamers. Just in time for the holiday season, gamers and other folks who use payday loans responsibly have another reason to get their hands on a PS3 PlayStation: "Home" has launched in open beta. Home is essentially a cross between "Second Life" and Nintendo's Mii avatars. PS3 users receive their own customizable avatars and virtual homes. Then they can chat via text and voice with and host friends online, find gaming buddies, buy and display virtual décor and goodies. The service is free, but clothing, furniture, and other toys will be sold through real money transactions. The free service is still in beta, but should be available to PS3 users worldwide by the end of the day on December 11. Nintendo Wii launched with support for player avatars and the Xbox 360 added avatar and related features with its November 2008 New Xbox Experience update.
