How to Control Body Odor

It is important to take care of your body and prevent it from emitting body odors that may be offensive to other individuals. Not only do these odors prevent you from making a good impression, but it can lead others to simply not want to be around you, all because of your smell. Luckily taking care of your body odor is not difficult, and if you practice proper hygiene you should be perfectly fine.

Make sure to take a bath every day. This is the best way to help avoid unwanted body odor. Throughout the day you will sweat, even if you do not know it, and your body will produce odor from your seat glands that will eventually end up smelling (especially in closed body areas). Make sure to wash with soap all over your body.

Dry yourself off thoroughly after a bath of shower with a clean towel. You do not want areas of your body to be left wet, because the trapped moisture may lead to unpleasant odors. You also want to make sure to use fresh towels every few days. Towels after they have been used for a while will begin to smell themselves, so if you towel off with a smelly towel you will end up smelling as well. It won't be of B.O., but you will smell musty.

Use deodorant every single day. This will keep you from emitting body odor throughout the day. Use it on your underarms because these areas will be the most exposed areas to other individuals. However, you can use the deodorant in other places around your body if you so choose.

Lather deodorizing cream over your body. This cream is produced just like the deodorant you use under your arms, however it is designed for use anywhere on your body. This completely protects yourself from body odor wherever you apply it. Many creams come with a designed scent to perfume your body in addition to the body odor blocking. These creams can be purchased in the deodorant section of if your grocery store.

Repeat these processes every day to escape unwanted body odor. Even if you weren't active and don't believe you smell, other people may be more receptive to your body odor. Often times you can become so use to a smell that you are around for long periods of time you may not realize that you are emitting a smell that other can find unappealing.
