The first topic I will discuss is the symptoms and cause of dandruff. As stated above dandruff is the cause of fallen dead skin cells from your scalp which is then renewed quickly and constantly which is how dandruff happens. Dandruff can happen no matter if you wash your hair everyday or not. When you have dandruff it's a good idea not to wear black clothes because it falls to your shoulders and can be seen clearly. This is stated to happen to more than fifty percent of adults. Dandruff can cause your head to itch very badly, which causes scratching which is not very safe to do. When scratching your head to much you can scrape it, which may cause infection, and also get dandruff and germs into your nails. Dandruff can be caused by many reasons one of them is dehydration. When we do not drink enough water we cause our body to lose moisture which makes our skin dry and itchy. This especially harms your head which makes itchy and shed more skin this causes dandruff flakes to get hard and dry. When dandruff builds up on your head it can make you itch and scratch more this can lead to hard dried up skin cells, which bleed when you try to get them off. Dandruff also can become more active during the winter when your body is cold rather than summer when you're hot and sweat more.
More causes of dandruff are, stress, poor nutrition, not enough sleep, hair sprays, gel, and not washing your hair. Stress is a factor for many illnesses when you stress it affects your whole body; this causes your body to react in different ways. Stress can make your body dry and become uncomfortable by raising your blood pressure and other things. Eating wrong can cause dandruff because your body is not getting the proper nutrition to keep your body healthy and energenic. Eating wrong is just like not drinking enough water it causes your body to become dry. This can cause you to shed more skin cells faster thus causing the dandruff problem, eating more fruits and vegetables are a good way to stay clear of dandruff. Sleeping can help your body in so many ways, sleeping is one of the greatest gifts you can give your body next to water. If you get at least 8 hours of sleep a night your body will be in great shape, full of energy and stay healthy and not to dry. Washing your hair is very valuable to keeping dandruff away, yes it will still happen if don't wash your hair, but washing on a regular basis will reduce the discomfort and dandruff flakes. Finally hair sprays and gels can cause dandruff by drying your hair and scalp. If dandruff seems though like its worse than just flakes and itching you should see a doctor because it may be something more worse.
The final topic I will discuss is how to cure dandruff. The most common cures are some that I already listed such as, drink more water, get more sleep, reduce your stress, wash hair very often, eat healthier, do not use certain hair products. The next thing you can do to cure dandruff is use a dandruff shampoo. You can find many different dandruff shampoos at your local drugstore or grocery retail store. There are many different brands so you may want to choose a few different ones or consult your doctor for more information. Each person's body is different so one shampoo may work for someone where as another will not. Another good product to use is Aloe Vera; this is a great herb that can help many problems. You can purchase Aloe Vera at many retail health stores and you would just wash your hair with it just like a shampoo. As stated above if your problems do not heal after trying these steps please consult a doctor for further information.
Dandruff is not a fatal illness but it can cause stress for many people on an everyday basis. Try these steps to help ease the pain of dandruff and if they do not help, please consult your doctor.

Luckily, I have never had this issue. Of course, I go with the natural look. When I was in high school, I used hairspray, however, as an adult, it has been years since I used it. I would say at least 8 years. On occasion, I may use Fantasia which is a conditioner spray spritz, but not much, I have had the same bottle for about 6 years and it still appears full...lol.
