How to Convert MP3 to 3G2 Audio

The multimedia format 3G2 is a file that can contain both video and audio information. 3G2 is a common file format for cell phones. To convert an MP3 to a 3G2 file that you can use on your cell phone, you must download an MP3-to-3G2 converter.

Using Super

Step 1

Download and install the latest version of Super (see Resources for download link).

Step 2

Launch Super.

Step 3

Select the "Output Container" you want to use from the "Output Container" drop-down menu.

Step 4

Select the "Output Video Codec" from the "Output Video Codec" drop-down menu.

Step 5

Select the "Output Audio Codec" from the "Output Audio Codec" drop-down menu.

Step 6

Click the "disable video" check box next to "Video."

Step 7

Drag and drop your MP3 file into the area where it says "DROP A VALID MULTIMEDIA FILE HERE."

Step 8

Right click the file and select "output file saving management" and then click on "Encode (Active Files)."

Step 9

Go to the Windows folder where your MP3 files are located. The files will now the extension of ".MP3.3G2." Delete the ".MP3" part from the extension by double clicking on the file name.

Xilisoft Video Converter

Step 1

Download and install the latest version of Xilisoft Video Converter (See Resources for download link).

Step 2

Launch Xilisoft Video Converter.

Step 3

Click on the "Add" button and select the MP3 file you would like to convert.

Step 4

Click on "Target" and select "3G2" as the video file format and then click on "Encode." The MP3 will then be converted to 3G2.

MP3 to 3G2 Audio Converter

Step 1

Download and install the latest version of MP3 to 3G2 Audio Converter (See resources for download link).

Step 2

Launch MP3 to 3G2 Audio Converter.

Step 3

Click on the "Browse" and select the MP3 file you want to convert.

Click on the "To 3GP" button.

Step 5

Click on the "3GP Profile" drop down menu and select the quality you want the 3G2 file to be (e.g., High, Normal, Low). Then click on "Edit..." and select "3G2" from the "Extension" drop down menu. Click "Apply and Close" then click the "Convert" button. The conversion will begin and complete in a few seconds.
