Cookie Jar Arrangements
Supplies:
Glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors
Floral foam
Eucalyptus
Dried florals matching colors in the cookie jar
Various decorations matching the type of cookie jar being used
Directions:
1. Wash and dry both the cookie jar and lid. Cut a piece of floral foam so that it fits snug inside the cookie jar. Glue the floral foam to the inside of the cookie jar.
2. Frame the centerpiece by placing the highest piece of eucalyptus to the center of the floral foam. Place a piece of eucalyptus on each side of the cookie jar. This should form a pyramid shape. Start filling the arrangement with eucalyptus until it makes a full centerpiece.
3. Place glue to the inside rim of the cookie jar lid. Place this lid to the center, front of the cookie jar arrangement. I find it is best to place some additional glue around the edges of the lid and hold it in place for a few seconds. This step will help to ensure the cookie jar lid is secure.
4. Glue dried florals and decorations throughout the cookie jar arrangement. Also, I like to glue additional eucalyptus and dried florals around the cookie jar lid to give this arrangement a professional look.
Cookie Jar Arrangement Ideas
Themed cookie jars - If the cookie jar is a theme, for example apples, glue apples or dried apple slices throughout the arrangement. Adding apple scent to the faux apple decorations would make this arrangement extra special.
Seasonal cookie jars - A fall cookie jar arrangement would look lovely with faux pumpkins, pine cones, fall leaves and seasonal colored florals glued throughout the arrangement.
Holiday cookie jars - A Christmas cookie jar arrangement would look festive with candy canes, ornaments, and battery operated lights placed throughout the arrangement.
Retro cookie jars - A retro cookie jar would look great decorated with utensils and cookie cutters from the era that the cookie jar is representing. Also, retro recipes cards placed on the front and back of the arrangement would add a great retro touch to the arrangement.
Flea markets and EBay are great places to find unusual and fun cookie jars to make into arrangements.
