Even though you may have been glad to see them go, it may finally cause reality to sink in when they actually marry another person. Some people tend to get very depressed, and allow their emotions to get the best of them. One thing that you really need to do is make sure that you surround yourself with a lot of love and support. This can be in the form of family and friends. As long as you know that you are loved and that there are people who do care for you will not have to worry about sinking into depression. Remember that at one point in your life you were in love with this individual. It can especially be very difficult if there are children involved. Remember that your children will follow your lead, so how you react to the new marriage is very important. Many people tend to get depressed because they feel like there is now no possibility for reconciliation. Even if they did not really want to reconcile with the person, you still don't want to hear about them starting a new life all by themselves.
One thing that you don't want to do is suddenly let yourself go. Just because you may be feeling a little bad does not mean that you have to look it. Besides taking the time to care for your physical needs and making sure that you take care of yourself will help you to better be able to cope. One other thing that you will want to avoid it putting yourself back into the field of dating so quickly and suddenly. Remember that just because your spouse has gotten married it does not mean that you now have to. The bottom line is to make sure that you have someone that you can talk with, and avoid keeping your feelings and emotions completely bottled up. That part of your life should now be in the past. You will probably continue to be stressed out about the situation for quite some time, but once everything has been finalized you will definitely begin to feel better.
