How to Cope with Symptoms of Menopause

Women in their late 40's and early 50's would usually start feeling the symptoms of menopause. Menopause is the stage when a woman stops having her monthly menstrual periods and marks the end of her reproductive years. The menopause stage could be very emotional for some women. Changes in the hormones of women who are experience menopause would trigger a series of physical and emotional changes, a woman who have reached this stage could expect some really emotional times.

If you are one of those women who are already in the menopausal stage, you should learn to cope with menopausal symptoms gracefully. To help you cope with the changes in your body, here are some tips for you:

1)
Engage is a creative outlet that will give you some sense of satisfaction. Since you can expect to feel very sensitive about a lot of things during this stage is your life, it would be a good idea to have something that you really feel comfortable and proud of. It is always comfortable to know that you have achieved something good in your life.
2)
Make sure that you keep constant contact with your friends and family members. Knowing that there are a lot of people who loves is very comforting so make sure that you do not isolate yourself. If you have friends living near you, go out with them every now and then and have some fun.

Make sure spouse understand what is going on in your body. The support of your spouse in very important during your menopausal stage so let him know what is going on in your body. He would be more patient and attentive to your needs if he knows how you are feeling.

Find a calming activity like yoga. Since you can expect to be a bit more irritable and edgy than usual when you are in the menopausal stage of your life, it would be a good idea to find some activities that would help you calm down. Do not use tranquilizers to help you cope with your symptoms. Tranquilizers would only make matters worst for you so avoid taking those tranquilizers.

If you start feeling those hot flashes, keep yourself cool by wearing comfortable clothes. Loose clothing made of cotton could help you cope with hot flashes. You should keep your bedroom cool and comfortable at night to avoid sleep disturbances.
6)
Eat a balance diet and exercise regularly. Physical activities would help you cope with stress so go ahead and take some walks. You may also enroll in one of those yoga classes so that you can be sure that you get enough exercise daily.
7)
If you doctor give you some supplements or medications, make sure that you follow the recommendations of your doctor.
