How to Make a Cream Sauce for Vegetables

In these tough economic times, we are all looking for ways to dress up our meals, without a lot of expense. Most of us are eating out a lot less than usual, but we still like an elegant presentation ocassionally! You can make a nice vegetable dishs by serving just everyday, inexpensive vegetables with this cream sauce made with soup.

You can actually cream the vegetables with this sauce, or elegantly stream the sauce over the vegetables. Experiment with different vegetables, and you will enjoy the reaction from your family.

Ingredients:

Cream of Celery Soup: 1 cup

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

2 to 4 tablespoons of chicken broth

A liberal amount of chives, to taste.

Salt and pepper

Instructions:

Combine items and heat. Pour over vegetables. Salt should be added carefully, tasting as you go.
