An Advent Basket is a nice basket that is large enough to hold 25 envelopes. Each envelope contains a message. The basket can be decorated, or plain. It all depends on you and how much you want to put into it. Mine is lined with holiday fabric.
To start find yourself a basket. Also gather together 25 envelopes. Markers, crayons, glitter and other art supplies are needed also.
Take the 25 envelopes and number them. I like to make a larger number in the middle of the envelope. 1...2...3...4...and so on and so forth. I decorate my envelopes with stickers and glitter.
Next I pull out my list of common Christmas Carols and my Bible. Come up with a list of 25 carols that you and your family enjoy. Then either search online or through your bible for 25 inspiring versus. They can be related to the Christmas story or not, your choice.
The next list of 25 that you want to create are things that you like to do around Christmas. 1.Watch a holiday movie...2.Write and mail Christmas cards...3.Make apple cider and sit and talk about your favorite Christmas memories...4. Decorate your Christmas tree...and so on.
With the lists that you have compiled next you sit down with your compute. Type these things out by day.....

Then once you have all these typed out choose a font and color you like and print them out. Cut them apart and insert one into each envelopes making sure that the numbers and dates match.
Now you have created your advent basket. For little or no money you have made a cute activity that helps you remember what you love about the holidays.
Open an envelope every day of advent and follow the instructions. It will bring a smile to your face and warmth in your heart. Remember why you celebrate the holiday and cherish the time you spend with your family.
This is a nice idea for you or as gifts for your friends and family.
Enjoy the holidays and God Bless.
Merry Christmas
