How to Create Custom Christmas Shower Curtains
Easy Steps to Custom Shower Curtains for the Holidays!
Custom Christmas shower curtains are a great DIY project that can cost as little or as much as you would like. Although a bathroom may be the smallest room in your house it does not have to lack style and design. For an avid DIYer creating a custom Christmas shower curtain is a simple project that can be completed quickly.
Custom Monogram Christmas Shower Curtain
Creating a custom DIY shower curtain with your personal family monogram is a great project that will make your home bathroom have a Christmas feel and feel stylish at the same time. For a twist on this custom shower curtain use your kid's initials for their own personal shower curtain.
For this project you will need:
1 Clean Shower Curtain (Fabric or Plastic)
Your personal letters blown up to poster size (or the size you wish)
Pencil
Red and Green Paint (Acrylic for plastic shower curtains and fabric paint for a fabric shower curtain)
Gold Paint pen or Silver Paint pen
Paint Brushes
The first step to creating a custom Christmas monogrammed DIY shower curtain is to blow your letters up to poster size. You can do this for very little money at any copy store. Take your letters home and lay your shower curtain over them. Use a pencil to trace your custom letters onto your shower curtain. Use the appropriate red and green Christmas colored paint to fill in your letters. Once this red and green paint had dried then you need to outline the letters with your gold or silver paint pen. Allow your custom DIY Christmas shower curtain to dry over night and then hang in your bathroom. For an added twist on the custom DIY monogram shower curtain you could use Santa Clause's initials!
Santa Clause DIY Shower Curtain
For this Christmas DIY project you will need:
A Christmas Card with Santa's Image on It
1 Clean Shower Curtain (Fabric or plastic)
Paint (As described before)
Paint Brushes
Pencils
Tape
To start this custom DIY Santa Clause shower curtain project begin by laying your shower curtain over your Santa Clause Face. You can have the image blown up at Kinko's as well. Trace the outlines of your picture onto your custom shower curtain. Be sure to outline only the main features like Santa's beard, eyes, nose, red hat, and mouth. You may need to outline the main features of his face in a heavy black marker to see them through a fabric shower curtain. Trace the main features onto your shower curtain with a pencil. Now you are ready to fill in with color. You can create a truly custom DIY shower curtain at this point. Take colorful inspiration from your Christmas card or try using a white fabric shower curtain and outline your portrait in black fabric paint. Another custom shower curtain idea for this project would be to use a round paintbrush and use dots of color or black paint to create Santa Clause's face.
