A spring wedding is beautiful in itself and there are many ways that you can truely make it feel like spring by incorporating colored eggs into your decor and wedding reception tables. This idea will bright the feeling of spring to your table seating. If you have assigned seats for your wedding reception tables, use this unique idea to seat your guests in a spring way. Follow these steps to create your egg name cards.

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED:

First you will need eggs. You will need as many eggs as you have guests coming to your reception. Next, you will need egg coloring kits, you could use soft colors or bright spring colors, which ever matches your wedding colors the best.

Next, you will need small pieces of ribbon that can be neatly tucked into the ends of your eggs, so they should be about 1/4 of an inch wide. Simply white ribbons will work. You will also need a pen that will write on the ribbons and the eggs neatly, just a small tipped marker will work fine.

CREATE YOUR EGG NAME CARDS:

To start creating these egg name cards first you will need to blow the yolks out of your eggs. Simply make a small hole in the small end of the eggs, then make a larger hole in the large end of the egg. The hole in the large end will be holding the ribbons, so make sure it is not too large and not too small.

Once your holes are made, blow the egg whites and yolks out of the eggs. Once all of the whites and yolks are removed, you can color your eggs. Simply color them however you wish. While the eggs are drying, write the bride and grooms names and the wedding date on the 1/4 inch ribbons. You could also write cute little wedding sayings on the ribbons if you would like. When you are finished with the ribbon, go back to the eggs and write each guests name on one each egg. Then, stick a ribbon into the end of each egg.

These are your egg name cards, now simply place each named egg in each seating spot where each person is supposed to set.
