Just as Disney Channel's Hannah Montana and High School Musical have inspired birthday parties by the droves, so will Camp Rock. After you have read How to Create a Fantastic Homemade Camp Rock Birthday Party, Part One (click on title to read) that gave you many decoration ideas for your Camp Rock birthday party, read below for ideas on Camp Rock invitations and food.
Like all my party planning articles, I cannot stress enough the importance of using as many homemade touches as possible while planning your Camp Rock birthday party. Homemade is better period. Homemade moments in our children's lives are the ones they remember, the ones that stand out as special and unique. By creating a homemade Camp Rock birthday party, you will save money using items you already own, plan elements that no other party will have, and leave your guest saying...WOW.
I have described the tone and decorations of the Camp Rock party as Camp meets Rock Star. You can go wild with anything from hiking boots to glamorous shoes and wigs. Your Camp Rock birthday party invitations and food should go along with the same Camp meets Rock Star theme.
Disney Channel's Camp Rock Birthday Party Invitation Ideas:
Invitations are important because they not only announce your Camp Rock birthday party but they convey to your guests how fun and exciting the party will be when they attend. Below is a list of ways you could announce your Camp Rock birthday party.
Send a Flip Flop!
A flip flop just might be the official camp shoe so it is the perfect way to announce your Camp Rock birthday party. You can either write all your Camp Rock birthday party information on the shoe with a permanent marker or you can print it off and glue it to the shoe. You can go simple or you can decorate the flip flop with gems and jewels to add the Rock Star element .
Send a Bucket Hat!
Bucket hats can usually be seen all over a campground. You could send a bucket hat to all the guests and ask them to decorate them and wear them to your Camp Rock birthday party. You could even have a contest if you like. Or, you could go simpler and just send a bucket hat along with a printed invitation instead.
Use a Die Cut!
You can cut out any shape that works with your Camp Rock theme and glue the printed information on the die cut or hand write them. A few ideas for die cut shapes are guitar, microphone, hiking boot, musical note, tree, tent, or canoe.
Send an Echo Microphone!
Echo microphones are those cheap plastic microphones that you can find for a buck at any Dollar Store. They are the perfect thing to drop in a bubble envelope to announce your big Camp Rock birthday party. For an extra touch to this invite, add jewels or any 'bling" by gluing fake stones to the sides or top of the microphone.
The food at your Camp Rock birthday party should go along the same theme lines as the rest of your party. If there is any way to have a camp fire at your Camp Rock birthday party, do it. A camp fire would set a mood better than any decoration. A real camp fire in the woods would be amazing but if that is not possible, try borrowing or buying an outdoor fire pit. Fire pits or patio warmers that have actual fires in them are gaining in popularity so you may have a friend or family member who has one you can borrow. Whether or not you have a camp fire or not, you can still serve camp fire food. Below is a list of Camp Rock birthday party food ideas.
- Hot dogs
- Hamburgers
- Potato Chips
- Jiffy Pop
- S'mores
- Homemade Microphone Cupcakes: To make microphone cupcakes for your Camp Rock birthday party, simply make cake mix according to the box directions and pour the batter into ice cream cones about half way full. Bake the filled cones until the cake is baked and an inserted knife comes out clean. Let them cool, icing them smoothly and add black dots to resemble a microphone. Not only are the microphones adorable to look at, people love the cone/cake combination's taste.
- Homemade CD Sugar Cookies: This one comes straight out of the Camp Rock movie. Simply make round sugar cookies and decorate them to look like CD's.
- Homemade Musical Note Cupcakes: This Camp Rock food also comes from the movie. The cupcakes in Camp Rock are white and the musical note is drawn in black icing. The die hard Camp Rock fans will appreciate the movie inspired food for sure.
When you are planning your Disney Channel's Camp Rock birthday party, use what you have that goes along with your theme of Camp meets Rock Star. As long as you are creative with your invitation and food selections, the Camp Rock birthday party guest will feel privileged to be a part of your great homemade event. Good Luck!

Post a CommentThose arnt good ideas, maybe for a 5 year old but not for 12 year olds and up! Camp Rock as well as High School Musical were intended for tweens, not younge children. For my party I will be turning 12 and this is what my friends and I are doing:
making smores, hotdogs, cheese burgers, ect. watching the movie and listening to the Camp Rock soundtrack as well as the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato's. eating cake and ice cream, chatting, sleepover and more. your ideas sound like they would be for 5 year olds, not the age group Camp Rock was intended for! Oh and Andrea Edwards, you're a lyier! Disney stars (other than Miley Cyrus) arnt brats! They are down to earth and understand that children look up to them! I met Demi (Mitchie), Alyson (caitlin), Meaghan (tess), and the Jonas's (shane, nate, jason) at Disneyland before, they are some of the sweetest people ever! Don't try and make disney look bad! You are only making yourself look bad!
Really fun and cool ideas!!!!
Sounds neat :) Sheri
Great ideas...both my girls love Camp Rock!!!
Thanks for the great ideas...................
Nice ideas, but I have never been a fan of Camp Rock especially after an incident that happened between my niece and one of the Camp Rock female cast members. My niece and an actress from Camp Rock were are Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and this actress caused my niece to spill a drink that my niece was carrying in her hands. My niece demanded an apology from the actress and she actress replied, "Don't you know who I am?" and my niece said, "No, should I?" and the actress said, "I was on Camp Rock." My niece still demanded an apology and the actress just ran off. This is one reason why I have little respect for Disney.
cupcakes anyone? sounds yum.
