How to Create a Free Flow Chart on a Mac Program
A Mac Software Guide to Designing and Making a Free Flow Chart Using Mac Software
First, sketch a rough draft of the flow chart design that you're creating in Mac OS X using Mac software programs. Knowing how you wish to design your Mac flow chart will make the creating process easier when you're actually designing the flow chart on the computer.
Try to focus on concentrating the essence of the process into simple, easy to understand boxes and shapes. The very best flow chart clearly demonstrates how each step leads to the next step.
Install a word processing or design software program that can help you create a free flow chart on a Mac. Some common office software can help you, such as Microsoft Powerpoint (part of Microsoft Office for the Mac). If you plan on creating flow charts on a Mac on a regular basis, consider purchasing a computer program specifically designed to publish Mac flow charts. One of the best Mac programs for making your own flow charts is OmniGraffle.
Design and publish a flow chat in the computer design software that you downloaded and installed in Step 3. If you installed a specific flow chart program to help you, it will guide you through the design process. For the purpose of this technology help article, we will use Microsoft Office's Powerpoint program due to its ease of use and relatively commonality among home office users.
Click on the Drawing toolbar in Microsoft Powerpoint. If you do not see the Drawing toolbar, click the Tools button in the top menu bar and select Customize, then click the Toolbars tab in the pop-up window that appears.
Click AutoShapes in the Drawing toolbar, then click Flowchart. Powerpoint will now allow you to click a flow chart shape for your Mac flow chart. Continue to insert shapes, boxes and arrows until your flow chart is as complex as you wish.
Select File in the top menu bar of the Powerpoint program, then click Print to publish your flow chart on the Mac. Distribute to your office workers, business associates, or any other individuals who would be interested in your Mac flow chart.
