How to Create Fun Fall Outfits With Things You Probably Already Own

Rachel Bosen
The weather is changing, and slowly growing cooler. What can you do to take your spring wardrobe into fall? These simple steps will help you incorporate fun summer clothes into outfits fit for cooler weather.

Outfit One: Your breezy floral dress. Take that pretty floral number and pair it with your favorite cardigan, colored tights, and if you're daring, a pair of wellington boots in a coordinating color. Add a knitted beret or scarf for added warmth.

Outfit Two: Sweet white peasant blouse. Start off with your favorite linen blouse, long or short sleeve. Pair it with your favorite denim or leather vest, dark corduroy pants, and cowboy boots, with the legs of your pants tucked into the boots. Tie a bohemian printed scarf in your hairlike ahead band, or loosely around your neck. Add some tribal jewelry like brass or turquoise bracelets

Outfit Three: those killer white jeans. White isn't just for spring and summer anymore! An all white outfit can look striking against the russet and gold of fall backgrounds. Pair your white jeans with a chunky white cardigan with a delicate camisole just peeking out. Pair it with white boots. Glam it up with warm gold accessories, like a wide metallic belt, a chunky gold necklace, or a few broad bronze bangles.

Outfit Four:That pretty tunic top. Take that lovely ethnic tunic and pair it with solid black pants, and wrap a pashmina around your shoulders for extra warmth. Add a few strands of wooden beads, a wide leather belt around the waist, and a rich brown handbag to complete the outfit

Outfit Five: You favorite tank top. It's way too cold for those bar shouldered tops now, but you can definitely still rock that lacy tank top as the weather cools. Find yourself a nice Henley or thermal shirt that matches your tank top and put it on top, with the buttons on the Henley undone to show the pretty lace. Pair with your favorite jeans and some tall boots.

Outfit Six: Your cute strapless dress. Take that pretty little strapless number and pull it on on top of a silky long sleeve top in a color for a more fancy look, a simple solid colored long sleeve t-shirt for a more casual appearance. Just add colored or patterned tights and black closed toed shoes.

Have fun mixing sweaters, tights, and boots with your favorite summer pieces for a unique and eclectic wardrobe.
