The first concern is whether your team name will be available at geocaching.com. There are thousands of geocachers registered on geocaching.com so your team name needs to be original and unique or it will not be available.
If you visit geocaching.com you will see names like Ranger_Rob, Uncle Fun, and Caller Dude. I have met each of the geocachers behind these names and I know that each of these names have personal meaning. So how do you create a team name that is unique and has personal meaning?
Let's get to work creating a team name. You will need a pen and some paper. Make a list of your favorites, include your favorite color, sports, hobbies, place to vacation, etc. When I made my list I also listed my alumni, my nicknames, instruments I played, and my car. Write a second list that lists some of your characteristics and general terms like chick, dude, gal, etc.
Here is an example of a favorites list:
Geocaching, Scrapbooking, Pink, Wisconsin, Guitar, UWM, Turkey, Face, Prius, Chocolate, Tulip
Here is an example of a character list:
Crabby, Sweet, Flirt,
So using the answers that I provided above I can create a bunch of different geocaching names by combining some of the answers. I could use:
Pink_Prius
UWM_Cacher
Sweet_Scrapper
I can also take the above answers and combine them with my initials or name to create more geocaching team name options.
CLSinWI
CSatUWM
WI Sciarini's
How about combining the answers with a number? We have three people on our geocaching team, so I am going to use the number three.
3inWisconsin
We3Turkeys
Try combining your answers with a male or female term like chick or dude. By combining your answers with general male or female words you create many more fun options. Let's try it out with some female terms:
Tulip_Chick
Guitar_Babe
Lady_Prius
Using the lists and the suggestions above you should have no trouble creating a fun and unique geocaching team name that fits your personality.
