How to Create an Inexpensive Gift with Your Child This Holiday Season

Katherine A
Materials Needed

Wooden tags (found in packs of 2 - 4, in the arts and crafts aisle)

Stick-on foam Letters (found also in the arts and crafts aisle.)

Your eager child

Get Started

*Help your child find the letters in his/her name. (The gift will represent the child)

*Help your child peel the backing off of the letters as they go.

*You may have your child put the letters on the tag to form his/her name, initials, or any loved one whom they are making the ordament for; such as a baby brother or sister.

*The tags usually come with a rubber band or string around them, if this is not the case just add a string or ordament hook so it is easy for the gift to be placed on the Christmas tree.

*After the kids are all done, use a paint pen or marker and write the year the gift was made.

*This is a great gift idea for grandparents to do with the children, to create a special gift for their parents as well.*

Your child's finished gift will be a gift that loved ones will enjoy for years to come. A gift that is the true meaning of Christmas or for any Holiday.
Take advantage of the money you will save making these gifts for the holiday. Your child loves gifts and most children love gift giving as well. Let your child be creative and make many gifts for Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents etc. The reward will pay off when you see their faces when the gift is being opened. This is a small gift, but odds are the gift will make a big impression.
