How to Create a Memorable Mother's Day Gift for Free

It is easy and quick to create a beautiful gift for Mother's Day that you can adapt for more than one person, and that uses free graphics and a website found online, as well as photos and treasured stories from your mother's life and family history.

In your internet browser, type in http://www.free-clipart.net/, and on the left side, click on "Clip Art." That will take you to a screen of categories of clip art. Click on "Holidays," which will take you to various holiday categories - click on "Other." In the "Other" category, you will find lots of Mother's Day pictures and graphics, scattered among other holidays (such as Father's Day and others). All of these graphics are free - you can click on them and save them to your computer. The difficulty is that sometimes they don't print out as well, depending on the resolution and screen of the image. But they work well "on screen," as tends to be true for graphics that are designed primarily for internet use.

To make a special online tribute to your mother - or any women in your life who have been special in a variety of ways, you can create a free website at http://www.freewebs.com and create up to seven pages for free! On those pages, you can create entire pages about your mother, your family, her family memories, her biography, interests, goals and dreams, and add the graphics you downloaded from the free clip art site mentioned above, and even create an online photo album for any digital or scanned photos of your mother or cherished memories that she would treasure. You can also add a guestbook for family members to add their thoughts and say "thanks" to Mom.

Once your website is complete, if your mom (or mother-in-law) has e-mail -- surprise her on Mother's Day with a special e-mail that has the link to the website paying tribute to her. If she doesn't have internet access -- then have Mom over for a nice dinner (that she doesn't have to cook or clean up from, with all of her favorite foods), and then bring her to your computer and show her your creation as your way of saying "thanks" for all of her hard work!

Creating a free website with pictures, graphics, tributes and a guestbook is something that she can treasure for a long time -- AND she can "show off" to her friends and coworkers, and add to if she feels like it. This is sure to "score points" and will be treasured for years!
