Regina Paul
Have you been wanting to start your own online business but think you have to purchase expensive shopping cart software? Well, think again! You don't have to purchase anything because if you have a paypal account, you can easily set up your own online shopping cart for your online business. There is no reason to pay for expensive shopping cart software that you're probably going to have to hire someone to install when you can get a free shopping cart from Paypal.

Here are the steps to set up your very own online shopping cart:

Step 1: Open a Paypal account if you don't already have one. You can do this by going to paypal.com and filling out the form to open an account. They will then verify your bank account and you will be set to go a few days later.

Step 2: Login to your Paypal account.

Step 3: Click on the "Merchant Services" tab.

Step 4: Click on the "Add to Cart" link. Make sure the button type selected is "Shopping Cart" where indicated.

Step 5: Type in the name of your product where indicated.

Step 6: Type in the price of your product where indicated.

Step 7: Type in the amount for shipping where indicated if your product is not virtual.

Step 8: Type in the tax rate where indicated if you want to charge tax.

Step 9: Click on "Step 3: Customize Advanced Features."

Step 10: Indicate whether you want customers to be able to give you special instructions by clicking on the "yes" or "no" circle.

Step 11: Indicate whether or not you need the customer's shipping address by clicking on the "yes" or "no" circle.

Step 12: Click on the box next to "Take customers to this URL when they cancel their checkout" if you want your customers to have the option of canceling their order. Then copy and paste the URL of the page you want these customers to go to once they cancel. This is not a good idea to do if you have a virtual product because your customers could get access to the product and you wouldn't be paid.

Step 14: Click the box next to "Take customers to this URL when they finish check out." Then copy and paste your thank-you or download URL into the box below.

Step 15: Click on "Create Button."

Step 16: Copy and paste the html code for your "Add to Cart" button and then place it next on your website underneath your product.

That's it! That's all there is to creating a free online shopping cart with Paypal. Paypal will allow your customers to type in the number of a product that they would like to purchase making it easy to buy as many of your products as they want. This will save you big bucks and allow you to get your online business off the ground without spending a lot of money to do so.
