How to Create Your Own Christmas Desktop Wallpaper

So, you want to decorate your computer with a Christmas wallpaper design. This is easily done and you don't have to be computer savvy. I'm going to tell you how to make your own Christmas themed picture for your computer. I'm sure you will get a jolt of satisfaction each time you log on.

First, you have to collect the right tools for the job. This will be a camera, a subject or scene in mind, a USB cord for a digital camera, and a computer. After you have gathered these things, you need to take a picture. You don't have to be a photographer to take good pictures. Just follow your eye and snap a picture that looks good to you. A few examples include a snow white landscape, a fully decorated Christmas tree, a family picture, or the kids sitting with Santa. If you use a digital camera, just hook up your USB cord and download the picture into your computer. If you are using an older model camera, then take the camera to your local developing center and request a CD copy of your pictures and then download that into the computer. When you have the picture on your computer, right click on your mouse and select Use as Background. This will move the picture onto the desktop screen.

Here is a personal story about my experience. Every time I would log onto my computer, I was assaulted by a drab blue screen. I love to take pictures and I am not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, but I have taken some good pictures over the years. I believe that some people sell themselves short and don't give themselves credit for doing good work. Taking pictures is one of those areas. With the cameras of today, the average man or woman can take some astonishing photographs. If you need some examples of beautiful work, research Hugh Morton. His family owned Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina . They recently sold it to the state to preserve it as a state park. Hugh was widely known for his photography. Mildred the bear was one of his favorite subjects. He also loved the beauty of the mountain, and has taken many photos of it.

I like to use this for each season in the year. An example would be a budding tree for Spring, my garden in full bloom for Summer, the beautiful colors of the leaves for Autumn, and a snow covered field for winter. I hope these tips will help you to create your own sense of beauty and appreciation.
