How to Get and Create Your Own Stargate

Angel
For those of you who don't know what a Stargate is, firstly, it's a movie, secondly it's a TV series, and thirdly it's a gate that creates a stable wormhole between two galaxies and/or planets. You may need to see the attached pictures for better explanations.

If you are a fan of the movie Stargate, or the TV Series Stargate SG-1, then you would be interested in creating your own Stargate complete with a wormhole puddle.

If you are interested in creating, and getting your own Stargate then you will need to read on for the simple easy to follow directions.

You will need the following Diamond Select Toys Stargate Action Figures, not the 12 inch. Stargate Diamond Select Toys Action figures are sold on Amazon.com, ebay.com, or Toys r us.

You will need to purchase the following: Thor who comes with a piece of the walkway upward to the Stargate. Thor is in Series 2 of DST. Jaffa Serpent Guard who comes with the matching piece of the walkway to Thor's piece. Those two action figures will complete the walkway to the Stargate. Jaffa Serpent Guard is a series 1 DST action figure.

Now, to create the Stargate you will need: One Samantha Carter figure of series 2. (Samantha will come with Jack's piece of the Stargate, therefore you do not need to purchase the Jack O'Neill figure, unless of course you want to.) One Teal'c action figure of series 1 or 2. Dr. Daniel Jackson figure which will run you about $100 just about anywhere you look. The reason his figure cost so much is because it's a must have piece of the Stargate, and the largest. Now the secret to get the proper piece of Samantha Carter's piece is to email Diamond Toys Select and inform them of your desire to receive the piece of the Stargate that is meant to be Samantha's. DST will send you the piece in the mail for free, this is why you don't have to purchase Jack's Stargate figure unless you wish to.

After you have purchased all the above Stargate figures, you will be able to complete your Stargate, as each figure comes with a piece of the Stargate, but wait, it's still not complete. Instead of paying the person on ebay who is selling the wormhole, you can print it out yourself at any Kinko's, or Staples. Simply go to this webpage http://www.stephenmeli.net/images/eventhorizon.jpg right click and save. Ask for it to be printed out 11 inches by 11 inches. Trim, and tape to the back of your Stargate, and you now have your full completed Stargate. Total cost: Anywhere from $150 - $400. All depending on where you purchase your figures from. Series 1 Stargate figures can be very expensive due to how long they have been available.
