How to Create a Personalized Love Story

Marli
For Valentine's Day this year, why not give your loved one something to truly show how much he means to you? A "Story of Our Love" book will be sure to show that you took the time to really think about your gift instead of picking up a card and a bag of Hershey's Kisses 15 minutes before your Valentine's Day date. The book will allow your boyfriend to see himself through your eyes and relive some of the romantic moments you have shared in your relationship. This is a step-by-step guide to creating the ultimate "Story of Our Love" book.

Supplies
All you need for this is some time, a pen, paper, and an optional $15 to get the book professionally bound. If you don't want to get it bound, you can write your story and then either buy a blank book to copy it into or simply give him the manuscript you've typed. Personally, I'd go for the professional binding, if you can find a business that will do it for $15. In Texas, Copy Corner is a great place to go for this service.

The Project
There are many different ways to create your book. You can simply write the story of how you met and fell in love or base it on another famous work and make changes so that it pertains to you. Choosing to rewrite a famous love story is fun and can be very humorous. You rewrite a Disney love story or a classic book like Gone With The Wind (much shorter of course). Just sit down and reread or watch the work that you're going to be basing your love story on. While your watching it, take notes of specific events that can be switched up to match the anecdotes of your romantic journey together. Once you've taken your notes, all you have to do is sit down and compile your stories. Make sure you really put some thought into your story. This is a big project and it can be time consuming, but in the end, it will all be worth it. Once you think you're finished, spell check and get a friend to read it, because once you've "published" your story, you can't change it. When you're sure that the story is perfect, go get it bound.

The presentation of your love story will be sure to make his heart melt and it will provide a gift that will last for years to come.

Try Book By You instead. They supply the story, you supply the characters. It's really a great idea. and so much easier.
