First, to find great music to add to your MySpace playlist you'll need to sign into MySpace and then click on the Music tab in the menu bar. This will take you to the Myspace My Music page. From here you can click on My Music to begin creating your own playlists.
Click on Create Playlist (located on the far left) and give your new MySpace playlist a name. For the purposes of this article, I'm naming mine "Pop Mix". You can add a short description for your playlist and also choose whether to make your MySpace playlist public or keep it private.
Now from here, there are two ways to add new songs to your MySpace playlist. You can click on your playlist and it you'll see that it will come up blank because you haven't added any new songs yet. But at the top there will be a Browse By option. Click on this and you will get four different options to finding great new music - everything from browsing the songs your friends have added recently or browsing the top songs in the Major, Unsigned and Indie categories. This option works great if you're not really sure what songs you want to add to your new MySpace playlist.
If you have an idea of the songs you want to add to your new MySpace playlist, then the best option is to just do a search for that particular song or artist on MySpace. You can do a music search directly from the MySpace Music page. So let's say for example that you're looking for Taylor Swift's hit song, Love Story, then you would type Taylor Swift into the search bar and hit search.
The Official MySpace profile for any music artist should be the first one to pop up on the page. Go ahead and click on their MySpace profile to be taken to their song library. Find the MySpace music player on the artist's MySpace profile and then click on Albums to see all the music they've uploaded to MySpace. Click on the album you want and you'll be taken to another page that will show you every song on that album.
From here you simply click the plus sign icon to add that particular to your playlist. You can preview the song first by clicking on the Play button also. Once you've decided which song(s) you want to add to your MySpace profile, just click on Add and select the right playlist from the menu and click Save to save. Then simply repeat the process to search for other artists and add new songs to your Playlist.
Once you're satisfied with your Playlist you can find it by either going to the MySpace My Music page or just clicking on Playlists from your MySpace profile. You can can add entire albums and save them or make up unique mixes for you and your friends to enjoy.
