How to Create Skin Care Routines for Every Day Use

We all want to have beautiful, smooth and unblemished skin, but this can be hard to achieve when you have skin problems such as; acne, rosacea, blackheads, boils, seborrheic dermatitis, cellulites or folliculitis. All of these skin problems can be troublesome to adolescents and adults and they become embarrassed about the way their skin appears. They may have even been teased or tormented by fellow students or coworkers about their skin issues.

Is your face, back or chest covered with small, pimples, blackheads, red bumps or pus-filled sacs? These are all signs of acne. Acne is a very common skin problem that begins when a child hits the adolescent stage in life. Usually over the counter treatments, such as benzoyl peroxide will help clear the problem up, but must have continued use of this product to keep the results. There are more potent acne solutions that are on the market today like, Proactive Solution. This product does exactly what it says it will do for acne, even if you have severe acne; proactive solution can and will clear it up. Even though proactive solution is a great product, I find it to leave my skin extremely dry after using it. My daughter on the other hand went through puberty at age 7 and has had really severe acne since she was about 10-years old; she has it on her face, back and chest. My daughter tried all kinds of treatments for her acne problem; she even saw a dermatologist and took antibiotics that did not help at all. Instead they caused her to have headaches. Proactive solution is also inexpensive, for about 20.00 you can purchase the entire regimen, which includes a renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner and the repairing lotion. Or one could go to any drug store and find an over the counter acne treatment at very reasonable prices.

I personally have very dry skin and do not use anything on my face except cool water and a mild soap that has no alkaline such as, Dove or Ivory. I wash my face at least two times a day and always moisturize after keep my face looking smooth and feeling baby soft. As far as moisturizers go, I like to keep things simple. I have tried every moisturizer known to man and always go back to Johnson & Johnson baby oil. This baby oil is the most pure mineral oil you can get and if it good enough to apply to our babies, then by all means it works wonders on our older skin. I apply Johnson & Johnson baby oil after each shower while my body is still moist and after each time I wash my face. I have steadily used this product for the last 10 years and find that my skin looks ten years younger than it should. I am almost 40-years old and am told all the time that I don't look a day aver 29-30. My response to people's comments about my skin is, "I have always prided myself on having great looking skin and we can not go back and change time, but we can prevent the process of our skin degenerating by continuously moisturizing our skin on a daily basis." Note every person has different skin, what works for me may not work for the next person. Trial and error is how I found the perfect product for my skin.

Rosecea is the appearance of flushed or redness around your cheeks, forehead, chin or nose. This is a skin disease that affects the face, there is no real known cause; but usually very pale Caucasians will have the disease. The treatment for Rosecea can include antibiotics, but they seldom work. When a person is afflicted with this disease, it is usually not treated; the afflicted person just has to come to terms with it and know that they will most likely have this problem for the rest of their lives.

Boils are painful red bumps or clusters of these red bumps are called carbuncles. These occur due to infection under the skin or from an ingrown hair. Boils can be very painful and should be treated by using a hot compress such as a washrag moistened and heated up in the microwave. Hold compress firmly in place to get the boil to come to a head. After the boil has come to a head, you will need to open the boil with a sterile needle and drain it by using firm pressure on both sides of the boil. Once the boil has been opened the sebaceous matter should come out quite easily. If the boil will not come to a head and drain out, you will need to seek medical attention from you family doctor to assist in this and to prescribe antibiotics.

Daily Skin Care Regimen

• Wash face gently with a mild (non-alkaline) soap like Dove or Ivory

• Mix together olive oil and natural large grain sea salt (to ex foliate)

• Use a toner such as (Sea Breeze)

• Moisturize with lotion or baby oil of your choice

These steps should be followed on a daily basis to achieve beautiful, smooth baby soft skin. Remember not to forget about the rest of your body. You can buy body washes that have ex foliating qualities in them that will gently ex foliate your entire body. Another hint to great looking skin is in the wintertime your skin will become dryer than normal due to the dry cold air and you will want to use extra moisturizers during this season to ensure that your skin is always protected.
