How to Create a Spring Nest Centerpiece

This centerpiece idea is easy and cute for your spring decorated table. You could simply place one of these in the center of your table if it is smaller, or you could use three or more for larger tables. It is easy to make, so making multiples will be very simple to complete the look of your table. Follow these steps to create the spring nest centerpiece.

ITEMS NEEDED:

First you will need a glass footed dish, like a fancy ice cream dish for each centerpiece. Next, you will need small colored candy eggs, the kind you get for the kids easter baskets. You will also need a large flower for each centerpiece, like a large white rose for instance, you can use any type of large flower that you like, but a white flower works best.

CREATE THE SPRING NEST:

To create this spring nest centerpiece, start by cutting the stem off of the flower. If you leave any stem at all it should be less than 1/4 inch long. You could add a tiny bit of water into the bottom of the glass footed dish for the flower if you think it needs it.

Next, simply place the flower onto the glass dish. Once you have the flower on the dish, kind of spread the petals out so that you can place the eggs down into the center of the flower. The mini bright colored candy eggs will show up great against the white flower.

The best part about this centerpiece is that the center is edible. Your family and guests will love it and you will probably have to refill it more than once, so be sure to have plenty of the eggs on hand. You can create three or more of these centerpiece if you wish and set them in a row down the center of your table for a really nice spring look.
