How to Create a Workout Activity Booklet for Arms, Chest and Legs

Daniel Rein
I am a huge fitness finatic. I buy tons of fitness and workout magazines that stress eating the rights meals and new workout routines to do at the gym. I don't throw out my fitness magazines because I am always using them and reviewing workout routines from old magazines. So with my fitness magazines piling up, the question is, what should I do with all of them? The answer for me was a fitness booklet of my own.

Using the most basic of art supplies, I piled a bunch of objects from my arts and crafts drawer and started on my fitness booklet. I stacked my fitness magazines several feet high on my desk and began on my new pet project. I started by cutting out the major stories listed in the fitness magazines about the workout routines that were listed. Then I cut out the picture of the diagram on how to perform the activity at the gym or in my own home. I separated the workout routines by body part. for example, all the fitness activities that improved your arms I put together in a pile as well as chest, legs, back and abs.

I took an empty spiral notebook and created a section in each part of the notebook dedicated to each body part. Then I took the glue and pasted the fitness activities in each section accordingly. This allowed me to better organize the workout routines that I wanted to do and new activities that I was hoping to add to my workout routine. I also wrote down the recommended amount of sets and repetitions for each exercise that that the magazine and writer listed.

In the back of my spiral notebook, I also created a food section that listed healthy foods to eat that were high in protein which built muscle mass. The foods listed in the magazines are usually high in carbohydrates which give you more energy to workout. Carbohydrates are also good for increasing your muscle mass as well. Try and avoid fatty and junk foods like donuts and cakes that have no nutritional value. Read the ingredients of the foods that you eat carefully. Protein bars may be high in fat but they have a very high amount of protein as well as other vitamins and is very effective in gaining muscle mass. Fitness magazines usually have some very tasty and healthy foods that they describe in their magazine. So in my fitness notebook I glued together the ingredients that each food required to make.

Finally, in the middle of my notebook I created a stretching section in which I put together a collection of stretching exercise that prevents you from stretching muscles when you workout.

I put my name and a title on the cover and I was all set to workout. I have found the workout manual to be helpful at the gym and great reading material for bus rides.
