How to Crochet a Musical Victorian Mother's Day Doll Dress

Pam Parent
A fashion doll wearing this crocheted Victorian dress makes a wonderful, one-of-a-kind Mother's Day gift. This dress looks like it would be difficult to make, but it is actually easy. A person only needs knowledge of the basic crochet stitches and standard sewing. Depending on skill level and how fast you crochet, this dress takes approximately two days to make, but can be made in one day. It took me one day to design and make this beautiful Victorian Mother's Day doll dress. This crochet pattern is appropriate for ages 13 and up. The cost of both the supplies and fashion doll needed for this crochet project is approximately $15 to $18.

Glue a flower and a leaf on each side of the flower on each scallop going up the front of the dress, and where the lace strip was joined on the side. Glue a flower and a leaf on each side of the flower on the front collar of the dress. Tie the remaining piece of ribbon around the doll's waist. Place the Victorian umbrella in the doll's hand. Glue a flower and a leaf on each side of the flower on the front of the umbrella. Glue the remaining flower and leaves to the front, side of the hat.
