How to Dance like Britney Spears Dances

You know you want to dance like Britney Spears. She's like the best performer since Madonna. Except for that MTV Movie Awards thing. I don't care what you say, Britney roxx soxx. Here's how to get the moves from some of her best videos down, like I'm a Slave ****, If U Seek Amy, Circus, and Toxic.

Things You'll Need:

  • Limber legs

HIPS. You need limber hips to break out Britney's moves. A lot of her sexiness is based around her waist, and the moves come from belly dancing and yoga. So that's what you have to study! I also see a lot of tai chi in her movements, especially in the songs off of the album "I'm a Slave." But you probably don't want to know about that. Youtube "belly dancing" and Google "dance yoga" and you'll be off to a great start.

FEET, LEGS, AND ARMS. Britney's limbs and graceful movements come from classical ballet. Ballet as a rule develops your ankles, wrists, and balance, and that's definitely needed in pop music dancing. A lot of movements go to the floor and back, side to side, and require a lot of balance. (Remember the chair dance?) WOW. LOL Study ballet and put that into your feet, legs, and arms as you keep your hips and waist really sexy. Flat abs are a must. Healthy weight loss is good here, so eat well and exercise. You'll be getting plenty from dancing!

THE EYES HAVE IT. The last thing, after your body movements are down, are the eyes. You have to look like you are really into what you are doing. Remember the MTV performance that everybody hated from Britney? She was tired (probably of Kevin Federline), and sick of all the paparazzi, and her kids were probably pissing her off, so she put no effort into her expressions in that performance. So everybody hated it. See? Even one of the best dancers in the world can give a lousy performance if her eyes aren't into what she's doing. So watch any of Britney's dance videos, all the way back to "Oops I Did It Again" to get a good indication of how to draw someone into you with your expressions. Your confidence will naturally come as your body gets used to being sexy and "dangerous." Good luck!
