If you are experiencing a full- blown genital herpes attack then do not aggravate the situation by snacking on the wrong foods.
Nutritionists know that arginine, an amino acid that is found in certain foods can make the symptoms of genital herpes worse.

Peanuts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and squash to name but a few

We all know that stress compromises the immune system so it goes without saying that stress could set the stage for an attack of genital herpes.
So use biofeedback, massage, meditation and exercise to help keep your stress levels down and your immune system up.
Nutritional Boosters
To keep an attack of genital herpes at bay then go for a mix of copper, zinc, vitamin C and vitamin A.
This combination may well reduce your chances of another flare up but may well help clear up an existing outbreak.

Tarragon
Tarragon has antiviral properties and is another herbal option for treating genital herpes.
Just make a tonic with a teaspoon of tarragon steeped in a cup of hot water.
Drink this solution three times a day.
If you do not like the taste add a lemon balm tea bag along with the teaspoon of tarragon.
Cantharis
Ok, cantharis is derived from a beetle but it does soothe the burning and blistering bumps that are caused by the herpes virus.
Take a 30C preparation three times a day during an outbreak
