How to Decide If a Ford Motor's Vehicle is Right for You
Ford Motor Company Cars Are Made in America by Americans
In 2007 Ford Motor's revenue was a whopping approximately 174 billion dollars and won more quality awards from J.D. Powers and associates than any other automaker in the world. With the economic slowdown in 2008 Ford Motor's profits will probably not be so impressive this year. The key to Ford's early success lie in the first large scale manufacturing of cars by use of a innovative moving assembly line. Fordism was a world wide concept by 1914. Ford Motor Company offers a variety of vehicles almost as diverse as the population that drives them. Some of their more famous successes have been the Ford Mustang and recently the Ford Focus model. Lets hope the 2009 Ford Motor's offerings restore the company to its former glory.
The 2009 Ford Mustang model is an amazing two door convertible with 2 main sets of options to choose from. You can go with the Ford Mustang V6 model that has average mpg or you can go for the more powerful Ford Mustang GT that has a sightly less than average mpg. Neither car is really positioned to be considered a fuel efficient vehicle with today's fuel prices. The Ford Mustang V6 provides 210 hp where the Mustang GT model starts at 300 hp. Both run on standard unleaded fuel and have multi-port electronic fuel delivery systems. Both come standard with 5 speed manual transmissions with automatic transmissions as an optional upgrade (1). The Ford Motor's Mustang has a long history steeped in tradition and is a great looking sporty vehicle aimed at a market more concerned with appearance and performance rather than fuel economy and utility.
The 2009 Ford Focus model is the best selling car in recent history of Ford Motors. In some form or another its offered in almost all of Ford Motor's worldwide markets. Its an economy class car with a reasonable price for an American made vehicle. Performance is also rumored to be improved in the 2009 models with automatic transmission (2). Rumors claim the 2009 Ford Focus will sport a 2.0 liter engine that gets a gas sipping maximum of 35 mpg on the highway with an average of 24 mpg in city (3). Automatic transmission will degrade fuel economy somewhat but the Ford Focus 2009 model is obviously aimed at a market concerned with both appearance and fuel economy.
With any vehicle made by the Ford Motor Company you will be getting a quality car that is an example of American technology; made in America by Americans. Buying American made goods is beneficial to the national economy and a very patriotic thing to do.
