How to Decorate and Live to Show Your Spring Fever!
Decorate, Do Crafts, Open All the Window, Its All in Here!
Are you an AC Writer? If so, you probably have a notebook where you write in (like many writers of all kinds). Why not decorate it with some stickers? You can find lots of fun images on the Internet and then you can print them on Sticker paper! You could also purchase some stickers from you favorite Hobby and Crafts store; They usually carry decorative items. Maybe you're someone who has the computer a best friend. Then, instead of on a notebook, why not decorate your monitor or keyboard with some colorful stickers? And remember, stickers can be taken off and changed as a new season or holiday dawns on us! Another computer-related decorating idea would be to change your desktop image and screen saver to some Nice Nature Photos. This is a snap to do, and tutorials on how to do it can be found right here on Associated Content.
A fun craft project would be a Book Mark! These aren't a lot of work but the end result can be a satisfying, decorative placeholder for whatever you're reading. Here's a simple set of steps:
Cut a piece of this Card Stock about 6 x 1 ½ inches
Now to find your decorations. Some items to use are stickers, as mentioned above, dried flowers and plant clippings (glued on), and your own drawings.
For Dried plants, gather some flower and plant clippings from your garden and lawn. Then set them on a paper towel some place warm and dry. Some suggestions would be near a furnace.
Now, glue your clippings, stick your stickers, and draw your drawings. You're Done and now have a great book mark which has texture and design related to Spring! If you're the nature type, why not add some plants to your living space? Get some flowers, put them in a nice vase, and it can be a centerpiece for your table. A little potted plant in a room can really give it more spirit. You could try ferns, Bonsai trees (these are small cool-looking trees that can be found for prices as low as $10 - $15!), and herb plants.
With all the warm weather in spring, spending time outside will be something you'll want to do. Set up a nice place outside. This could consist of a comfortable chair/bench, a small coffee table, an some writing supplies if you're the kind of person who would use this space to write, which in my opinion, is a great use for it.
Many people have some dead plants either outside or inside that they just never got rid of. Why not now? A dead, withered, brown plant can really change the mood in a room or outside (although, sometimes it adds to the ambiance of a room). Just remove the plant from the ground if it was outside, and fill the hole with some plotting soil. Or, you could first place a flower bulb or a plant seed in there to start up a new item for your garden!
Some much simpler, everyday things can express spring. For instance, open all the windows in the House and let the Nature Sounds and Smells inhabit your house. If you have a Home-Cooked Meal with your family or alone, have some nice garnishing herbs to make it look nicer and "Springer." Eating meals outside is a fun thing to do and can give you a nice, long opportunity to enjoy the Outdoors. A nice walk around the neighborhood is another way to experience Nature and get some exercise. If you're a writer, bring along your Notebook and you might get some inspiration from your walk.
From these ideas, new one can spring up (no pun intended). Don't be reluctant to show your Nature spirit and customize things your way. If none of these ideas appeal to you, the Internet is a great reference and Google and Associated Content can provide you with useful articles and information. Have a happy spring, and show it!
