How to Decorate Your Porch for Halloween

The Art of Decorating Your Porch for Halloween

To start decorating your porch for Halloween, you will need the essential scary items kids love. A cauldron filled with dry ice to make the spooky fog like effect. Plenty of Angel hair for spider webs and lots of spiders to hang in them. Ghoulish monsters and ghost to hang around the porch and of course we can't forget about the blacklights.

Our neighbor across the street from us actually took his chainsaw and took the chain off of it and chased the kids around his property with it, the kids and parents really got a kick out of it. In order to get the candy they had to walk past him, and even some adults were afraid to go on the same side of the street he was on. All in all all everyone had a great time watching the faces of the kids passing by.

Another idea is to take and make a cardboard haunted house for the little ones, let them crawl or walk thru with all the scary monsters hanging in the corners and a put a blacklight in it so they can see their way thru it. Don't forget the ghoulish and scary music, it wouldn't be Halloween without it.

For fun treats, try wrapping Halloween cloth over lollipops and tie them with rubberbands or ribbons. Another idea is giving out little Halloween necklaces, kids just loved that idea last year. And of course you can't forget to give out Hannah Montana candy for the little girls. For the boys try little monster cars or rubber balls.
