If you just can't pick a favorite color, why not learn how to decorate a rainbow themed kitchen and incorporate them all? Filling the heart of your home with bright hues will make every family dinner a fun and festive party. Decorating a kitchen with a rainbow theme is easy through the use of accessories, no demolition necessary.

Colorful Hardware
No need to paint the cabinetry itself, just choose some fun and colorful drawer pulls and door knobs. You can get them in the shape of rainbows themselves, or just alternate the hues around the cupboards. For a more modern look, buy the hardware in colored glass.

Fabrics
Trim a plain white curtain with a colorful strip. When decorating a rainbow themed kitchen, alternate the colors of the chair pads for tables and bar stools. Bring in colorful striped dish towels and pot holders or alternate solid colored ones; depending on your interior design style.

Artwork
Hang up paintings, prints, sayings and proverbs about rainbows. Frame your favorite photograph or hang up a colorful bulletin board that you can keep adding photos to as you take them. Install an open shelf to display your dishes and hooks for your coffee cups for a practical artwork piece.

Accessories
The accessories are the most important part when decorating a kitchen in a rainbow theme. Instead of a solid set of canisters, line up ones in different colors on the counter. Add suncatchers that look like stained glass in the windows. Create a floral bouquet with flowers in each of the different hues and put it in a plain white or crystal vase. Gather all of your favorite fruits together in a bowl to represent all of the colors.

Finishing Touches
Use decals to cover drab tile. Add different colored prisms to spruce up chandeliers or light fixtures. Buy small appliances in colors other than plain white, black or stainless steel. Go the extra mile and paint your stove, refrigerator and dishwasher with a bright appliance paint to match the overall design.

Once you figure out how to decorate a rainbow themed kitchen, you may want to continue it throughout the rest of your home because it's hard to not smile when you're surrounded by them. If nothing else, you'll have the most colorful place to have a cup of coffee on the block!
