How to Defeat Twilight Aquatica in Zelda Twilight Princess

Chris Tidwell
Zelda Twilight Princess is a tough game I know because I've been there, and it can be cruel in the beginning. The first few levels are pretty tough and require a lot of stamina to get through, and the last of the beginning three levels, The Water Temple is no exception. You'll be wandering around this maze and finally when you reach the boss you'll be worn out, and low on life, so this guide will help you in defeating the third boss of Zelda Twilight Princess, Twilight Aquatica Morpheel.

The fight will begin with a long fall into a huge underground room filled with water where you'll be thrust into battle with a huge squid like creature hidden beneath the sand. This boss fight will be best fought if you put on the Iron Boots and Z target the creatures eye with the Claw Shot. The Eye moves randomly through the creatures transparent tentacles and can be a pain to catch, so keep a lookout for it when it shows up.

Twilight Aquatica will also send little bomb fish to attach you, the best way to deal with them is by using the Claw Shot at far range on them, or if you get swarmed then use the spin attack. Try to stay out of range of Twilight Aquatica's tentacles when fighting these fish, but you'll have to get close when you attempt to shoot the creatures eye. Now once you have the eye pulled out of the beast slash like mad possibly using the spin attack to inflict major damage.

After dealing the correct amount of damage to Twilight Aquaticas eye you'll defeat the first form of this boss. The creature will emerge from its hidden spot under the sand and reveal its true form, a giant Karp like fish. For this stage you'll need to remove you're Iron Boots and swim freely. Try and get a lock on the now stationary eye of the beast residing near the creatures "head" by using the Z targeting and swim in the pattern in which the creature swims, you'll find this fairly easy to do.

When you get a chance use the Claw Shot to hook the creature in the eye and latch onto its back. Then use your sword to stab the eye over and over again. After a few seconds you'll be throw from the fishes back and have to repeat the system of locking on with Z and swimming around in the same pattern of Twilight Aquatica. After doing this three or four times you'll have defeated the boss monster of the Water Temple and collected the third Fragmented Shadow.

After this fight Link and Midna will be teleported to the Spring, and confronted by Zant, and now the game truly begins! Remember that during this fight you'll want to have some items on hand. Try and stock up on Red Chu jelly juice before setting off into this fight. The great thing about this plan is that Red Chu Jellies can be found in the very first room that you enter in the Water Temple. During the fight you'll find that this Red liquid will come in very handy replenishing eight hearts (which will be more then enough at this point in the game to restore your entire life gauge).

Twilight Aquatica: Morpheel is actually very similar to the boss monster form Zelda Ocarina of Times Water Temple Boss Morpha. Both creatures require the Claw Shot (or Long Shot) to remove the creature's eye.
