If you are unhappy with your Disk Defragmenter, you should try IObit SmartDefrag. After installed, IObit SmartDefrag will appear in your main windows in the first time you run the program. Later on, it will be on your system tray. Simply click its symbol to open. This program has five main features: Status, Anual Defrag, Auto Defrag, Scheduled Defrag and Opions.
Status: This option allows you to check the condition of your hard drive in Optimization Level. If you see a blue stripe, it means that your hard drive is maximized defrag. If not, you will see a warning urge you to follow one of two Recommended Actions: Enable Schedule Defrag and Defrag Now.
Manual Defrag: IObit Smart Defrag will let you do your defragment. Mark hard drive you want to defrag and click "Defrag". If you want to defrag all the hard drive, click "Defrag All Volumes". This will take a longer time to finish.
Auto Defrag: This is the default feature of IObit Smart Defrag. It will check your system and defrag when you are using your computer. If you want to change anything, click "Settings".
Scheduled Defrag: Allow you to set up a schedule. Mark the hard drive you want to defrag, pick "Enable Schedule" and click "OK". The default defragment will be at ten o' clock, on every Sunday.
Options: include General Setting, ManualDefrag Setting and Auto Defrag Setting.
General Setting: Minimize to system tray, Load automatically at Windows startup, Enable Smart Silent technology, Stop defrag while using batter.
Manual Defrag Setting: You can pick either Express Defrag (only defrag desired hard drive to boost system speed) or Comprehensive Defrag (defrag all hard drive, this option will take more time). Mark Automatically Turn Off to turn of your computer when all the work is done.
Auto Defrag Setting: Enable Automatic Defrag, Defrag frequent visited files, Defrag recent used files, Defrag system directories.
