How to Delete Your Sensitive Information After Surfing the Internet

When you use a shared computer, you may be afraid that other people can use your personal information. So how can you delete all of your sensitive information after making a purchase online?

You can go to "Control Panel" > "Internet Option" to delete your history and cookie. However, that method is very inconvenient. There are many software that help you delete your information after finishing your work. I recommend you "After Work" because it is a freeware. You can use the program directly without installing. Besides, this software is very easy to understand and use.

You can find and download "After Work". It is only about 180KB. "After Work" can be used in any version of Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer.

Even when using it in your private computer, "After Work" is still very useful. It helps speed up the system by cleaning up all the "trash" that Microsoft Windows piled up.

After downloading, double-click on afterwork.exe (you do not need to install). The appearance of "Afterwork" is very basic. Click "Analyze" to make "After work" working by check the status of your system. After this process is done, you will find some information in two groups: online and offline. That is all of the "Temporary Internet Files", "IE History", "typed URLs", "Opened documents" and "Temporary register values".

If you want to see the detail of the above information, simply click ">>" that appears next to each line. To delete all of these sensitive information, click "Clean all". After a while, the system will report "Some items will be deleted after reboot!". Remember to click OK, and then choose "Close" to restart your computer and complete the cleaning process.

Besides, you can also encrypt your files and folders to avoid other people using your information. (Read a related Associated Content article: "How to Encrypt Your Information"). Another way to keep your information safe is to use professional software. You can refer "SurfSecret Private Vault". The trial version is free for 30 days. The pro version costs about $30.

There are many ways to keep your information safe and secret. You can delete your history and cookies, use software to clean up all of your information after finishing, encrypt your data or use software to protect your data from intruders. It is up to you to choose your convenient way. Normally, I always delete my data after using my credit card to trade in the Internet. Therefore, nobody can get my information.
