How to Make a Delicious Chicken Biryani!!!!!!

Chicken biryani is a delicious South Asian dish,which is combination of rice,chicken,vegetables and spices cooked together.It is very Popuar in India.The word biryani is derived from Persian word berya',which means fried or roasted'.

INGREDIENTS:
1 whole chicken-cut into 8 pieces 2 tablespoons yogurt, 1 medium onion paste, 2 teaspoon ginger/garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder ,2 cups basmati rice-washed and soaked for 30 min, 4 crushed cardamom ,2 inches crushed cinnamon, 5 crushed cloves, 8 crushed peppercorns,1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 2 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves, 2 tablespoon finely chopped mint leaves,1 inch of grated bitter gourd-chopped into small pieces,2 tomatoes-sliced into small pieces,1 teaspoon tamarind pulp,4 bay leaves-dried,crushed,salt-1/2 teaspoon(or as per taste) ,cooking oil- 2 tablespoons, ghee-3 tablespoon,3 cups water for rice.

PROCEDURE:
1. Marinate the chicken in yoghurt along with ginger/garlic paste, red chilli powder, and half of the crushed cardamom, clove, peppercorn and cinnamon for 1 hour.

2. Heat oil in a pan and stir fry the onion paste, tomotoes and chopped pieces of bitter gourd for 5 minutes. Add the marinated chicken into it and fry in medium heat till oil starts coming out from the pan.

3. Add a little water in the pan and boil till the chicken is tender and dry. Keep it aside.

4. Heat ghee in a pan, along with ground nutmeg, salt, and the remaining ground cardamom, clove, peppercorn and cinnamon,tamarind pulp along with coriander and cumin powder, coriander and mint leaves. Fry for a minute. Add rice and stir for 3 minutes.

5. Put all the constituents of the pan in rice cooker, add 3 cup water,bay leaves and cook the rice till it is 3/4th done.

6. Mix the cooked chicken with the rice in the cooker and keep it in under pressure for at least one hour. Garnish with thin slices of boiled eggs.

Serve hot,garnished with almonds and cashew nuts,along with hot and sour yoghurt mixed with chickpeas.Few mint leaves sprinkled over the dish will also add to its aroma
