Notes:
1) Each topping seasons about 4 cups of salted, buttered popcorn, (unless otherwise noted), depending on your personal taste.
2) Mix the ingredients for each popcorn seasoning together. Pour the seasoning onto the popcorn and shake to mix it well.
3) Adjust the amount of ingredients you use to make each popcorn seasoning according to your personal taste.
Cheddar Cheese Popcorn Seasoning
*Don't butter the popcorn for this recipe. Mix together 3 tablespoons melted butter and 1/4 cup cheddar cheese powder, plus 1 tablespoon. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour the cheddar cheese seasoning over the popcorn and stir to mix it.
Pizza Popcorn Seasoning
Mix together 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon ground, dried oregano and 1/2 teaspoon dried tomato powder. This seasoning will make your popcorn taste like cheese pizza.
Indian Popcorn Seasoning
Mix together a teaspoon of curry powder, 3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric, 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger and just a pinch of cayenne pepper. If you like Indian cuisine, you'll love this popcorn seasoning.
Southwestern Popcorn Seasoning
Mix together a teaspoon of chili powder with a 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin for a zesty popcorn seasoning.
Hot Popcorn Seasoning
Mix together 1/2 teaspoon chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon dried, crushed red peppers if you enjoy a heated popcorn seasoning.
Cajun-Style Popcorn Seasoning
Mix together 2 teaspoons paprika, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper, 1/2 teaspoon white pepper, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon oregano, 1/4 teaspoon thyme and 1/8 teaspoon celery seed. Mix together only 1 teaspoon of this mixture with 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder to season 4 cups of popcorn.
Cinnamon and Sugar Popcorn Seasoning
*Don't salt the popcorn for this recipe. Mix together 2 teaspoons white sugar and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. This seasoning makes a sweet dessert-like popcorn.
Salt and Vinegar Popcorn Seasoning
*Don't butter the popcorn for this recipe. Spritz 4 cups of popped, salted popcorn with a 1/4 cup of malt vinegar. If you like salt and vinegar potato chips, you'll love this popcorn seasoning.
