Use Grey Landscaping Rock
Grey cobblestone paths should lead everywhere in your landscaping. Build higher walls with complementary stones to create walkways and mazes if you have the room. For added authenticity, have some of them built as if crumbling slightly. Stick to varying hues of Grey in your choices, color will come elsewhere in the plan.
Place Statues Everywhere
Angels, cherubs, gargoyles and more can be found in lawn decor. Sit carved statues on walls, place fountains in open spaces and corners. Look for pieces that feel like they should be sitting in the courtyard of castle and they'll fit right into your design of a Gothic garden.
Buy Elegantly Carved Furniture
Black wrought iron works the best trying to create a romantic and mysterious garden. Outdoor furniture can also be found in deep wood tones that are sealed. The trick is to choose furniture with beautiful scroll work designs that still blends into the atmosphere around it.
Choose Deep Colored Flowers
Red rose bushes along paths and their petals floating in water features makes for a nice punch of color amongst all the Grey. Choose black foliage and plants to bring in more mystery and deep purple or blue for additional color. To gain the visual appeal of how to design a Gothic garden, think of a black and white photo of a beautiful woman with just her sensual red lips in color.
