How Much to Pay a Babysitter - Number of Children
It stands to reason that the more children you need a babysitter for, the more you should pay the babysitter. More children equals more work. While you may pay a certain amount for one child, you should not automatically paid double for two children. It is also important to take into consideration the ages of the children you need babysitting services for. Is an older child is at home who can help care for younger children, the babysitters rate should not raise appreciatively.
How Much to Pay a Babysitter - Location
The location of the country or city you're in will also affect how much you pay your babysitter. Ask your friends and neighbors what's the going rate for hourly babysitting services is. Since the average child care person will have multiple clients or customers, it is important not to pay the least in your area. Paying the most in your area may get you top bid on the best babysitters, but it could cause problems between friends and neighbors.
How Much to Pay a Babysitter - Special Occasions
If you need childcare services on a special occasion such as a holiday or for an unusual time or overnight session, you may have to pay more than normal. Any holiday or event when a baby sitter would like to go out them selves requires payment that will entice them to come watch your children instead. That's not to say you should pay exorbitant fees. Offering an incentive or a bonus for these times is a good idea.
How Much to Pay a Babysitter - Experience and Age
Any babysitters are teens who are just looking to pick up some extra money. Some are mothers or professional childcare workers. Determining how much to pay your babysitter depends upon their age, experience, and special skills. For example, you would pay more for a licensed childcare provider or someone with pediatric CPR or first aid skills, or education credentials. For an occasional babysitter with no special skills other than trustworthiness and a good for pour with your children, a moderate rate of pay is more reasonable.

Post a CommentI never went to a prom, even though I had a date if I wanted. I always took babysitting jobs since they paid as much as 3 times the normal rate.....plus the thought of putting on a fancy dress just to stand in the gymnasium with all the people I normally saw at school seemed pretty stupid.
Sounds like great ways to determine pay to me.
