What does developing a spiritual consciousness mean? It will mean many different things to different people. Each of the meanings will be correct for that individual. For me it means being more aware of and in contact with God. Consciously working with and for the great spiritual energy that we have come to know as God. For me it also means to be free from doctrine. Some writings that have been written about God were written in fear for the sake of scaring people into believing or doing as God wanted. It just doesn't seem like the God I have come to know would operate with fear. Love is so much more potent and powerful. But as I said this is my experience in life. You may have different experiences.
Fortunately many of us have found methods to develop a spiritual consciousness. Many people around the world have use spiritual exercises to reach their goals. The method that I feel has been most successful for me has been an enjoyable part of my life for years now. Sit comfortably in a chair concentrate on the spot between your eye brows very lightly. Close your eyes and sing the word Hu. Hu is a ancient word for God. Relax and do this spiritual exercise for 15- 20 minutes a day. Pay attention to what you see when you do this exercise, how do you feel? Hu is pronounced like the word hue. Developing your spiritual consciousness is very subtle and can be a life long passion. The more you practice the more aware you can become. It is truly amazing in life how some of the simplest things that we learn can effect our life's so profoundly. Share the gift of Hu with a friend. Its a gift they will always remember.
