Steve Jobs, who was the ex CEO of popular Apple brand has passed away on October 5th 2011. He was 56 years old. Steve was the revolutionary mind behind such Apple favorites like the iPhone and iPad and others. Steve was the co-founder of Apple Computer along with childhood friend Steve Wozniak.
One of the questions that people seem to be asking the most is how did Steve Jobs die? It was no secret that he was battling pancreatic cancer. It first came out that he was fighting pancreatic cancer in 2004. In 2009, Steve had to get a liver transplant because of his battle with pancreatic cancer. Steve's health continued to fail and on August 24th, 2011 he willingly stepped down as the CEO of Apple. During his time with Apple, he took three medical leaves. While no official cause of death has been released yet, it is likely that he died due to complications from that. Future details will be added to this article as they are released.
Apple's board of directors released the following statement regarding the death of their former CEO: "We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today, Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts. "Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."
Steve was a very private man and while famous for transforming the computer, cell phone and ipod world, he strayed away from Media spotlight and did his best to keep his wife, Laurene and the children he had with her, Reed Paul, Erin Sienna and Eve, out of the spotlight as well. Steve wasn't a saint however. He had a child out of wedlock at age 23 and while that is not such a bad thing, it's rumored that he denied that he was the father of that child, Lisa Brennan Jobs, for years.
Steve Jobs brilliant mind will be missed. He truly made a difference in our world and without him; our technology world would be very different.
