How Did Yuri Gagarin Die? The Secret is Revealed

Independent Russian investigators claim that they solved the four decades old mystery about the death of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and the plane crash.

The investigators claim that they have discovered new details about the disaster and evidence, which show how the first man, who went into space, died (he was 34 years old).

A study shows that the cause of Gagarin's death was a disaster during the test flight in 1968. It was due to the lack of knowledge and piloting and because of it the pilots' reaction was wrong, when they noticed open cockpit vents.

A retired Soviet air force colonel Igor Kuznetsov examined hundreds of documents relating to the disaster and concluded that the pilot's cabin vent was not completely closed. According to him, Y. Gagarin and his co-pilot noticed a non-pressurized inlet when the plane had already been lifted to 3 km altitude, so they took immediate action to come descend to a safe height. However, according to I. Kuznetsov, the pilots didn't know that landing at high speed is too great a risk, therefore, they failed to stay conscious. The fighter had become unmanageable and crashed into the forest. Gagarin, who piloted the plane, and his trainer, Vladimir Seriogin was killed immediately. Igor Kuznetsov believes that his discovery will end develop conspiracy theories which were going on for years claiming that Y. Gagarin was drunk during the flight, or that the accident was like a secretly staged by the jealous Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev.

A former soldier with a group of aviation professionals in the past nine years, using modern technologies, investigated this catastrophe.

Yuri Gagarin died during the performance of a test flight, seven years after he became the first man in space. However, the official investigation of the circumstances of his death was never made public and was very vague. Back then, the researchers were only able to establish that "most likely" the pilot made a sudden maneuver, trying to avoid a hot air balloon or a cloud. I. Kuznetsov also questioned the assumption that another negligent pilot, who was using the same plane few days before Gagarin, carelessly left the ventilation hole closed.Source:
