Making a digital scrapbook of your baby shower is a fun way to use all the photos and have a keepsake of the event. A copy of the scrapbook could be given to each guest when you mail the thank you notes. Digital scrapbooks aren't hard to make. It does require time and patience, but the results are well worth it.

Begin by enhancing the photos that you have with photo manipulation software. This can be done using the cropping, red eye reduction and color/lighting tools. After you have the pictures looking their best, then you can get to the main job of making the baby shower digital scrapbook.

There is several ways of creating the digital scrapbook. You can buy digital scrapbook making software or you can create your scrapbook pages and then compile. When you buy digital scrapbooking software, you will usually find that a collection of templates and accessories are included. There is normally more templates and accessories available for a price from the software company. The software does make it simpler to build your pages and find what your looking for. This makes it worth the money to buy the software and additional files.

Building a digital scrapbook without buying scrapbooking software first isn't impossible. However, you will need to find and download various items such as virtual stickers, masks, templates and icons. Most of these items can be downloaded for free from scrapbook websites that are looking to draw in traffic. Some ideas of websites that might have free files are baby oriented stores, photo sites and even scapbooking hobbyists.

Most websites will have the files listed by categories, but look at other categories for items that can be used but not listed as 'baby'. For instance, the category new handbag might give you a file of a diaper bag. Keep files adequately organized so that you won't spend more time creating pages than necessary.
