How to Disable Internet Explorer Content Advisor Without Having the Password

Easy Steps To Remove The Password From Content Advisor

Having trouble going to the sites you need or want to go to on your work computer? Are you doing something you probably shouldn't be doing? Did you buy a used computer from someone and now every time you mention "Basketball" in Internet Explorer it blocks you for adult content? Well, dry your eyes and read on! This is an easy guide to removing that password for good so you can disable Content Advisor!

1. Go to Start, then Run, then type in regedit.

2. Find the this file on the left of your screen:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\policies\Ratings

3. Double click the Ratings folder, then right click the item named Key in the window on the right side. Now that it's selected Delete it.

4. Reboot the computer. The Content Advisor password is now blank.

5. Open Internet Explorer then choose Tools, Internet Options . go tothe Content Tab.

6. You will now be prompted to Create a Password for Content Advisor. Once you have this password set, then you can disable Content Advisor next time it pops up. .
