The wise old soul offers an interesting response. He suggests he wade into the water. He wades in and wonders why he has been asked to do so. Being obedient to an elder, he wades in knee deep and looks back for further instructions.
The wise old soul motions to go further. When he is waist deep, he looks back again and finds the wise old soul motioning for him to go further.
When he is neck deep, he looks back again. Again the wise old soul says, "A little further, a little further."
When he had gone in over his head, he decided not to drown. Then he came charging out angry at the wise old soul.
Calmly, the wise old soul asked, "What did you want most when you were standing there under the water?"
His response was, "I wanted to breathe!"
The wise old soul's response was, "And you were rather passionate about it, I noticed. When you want success as bad as you just now wanted to breathe, you will have found the secret."
It is noteworthy that what we are passionate about requires no external encouragement. We just do it.
No one had to encourage the young warrior to breathe. We are all rather passionate about breathing. The same can be said of eating and drinking. We are passionate about getting our primary needs met.
The same can be said of love. We can have a passion for love.
Most humans are passionate about seeking love. We are willing to make mistakes and risk being hurt on the way to achieving the goal.
Passionately seeking love prompts the riding of many ships; courtship, friendship, partnership, companionship, and relationship. If all goes well for the sufficiently mature and appropriately connected, long term commitments are born.
Does the passion end here? Not a chance. It may well have more fire now than ever. Imagine the one you love and who loves you hungering to be with you like they hunger to breathe. That's passion ablaze.
When people are as passionate and determined to love as we are to take our next breath, we will have found love's secret to successful expression. No one will have to encourage these us to spend quality time alone with each other.
You might find a real problem on your hands if you get in the way. No one has to beg us to be intimate with our beloved. We have live passion for them and them for us. We are as passionate to love as we are to breathe.
If you have a passion to love, you will not be denied what your heart passionately seeks. Responsibly go with passion to get the love you want. Ride the ships of courtship, friendship, partnership, companionship, and relationship on your quest. They will guide your path.
When you have a passion to love like you would have passion for breathing when your head is under water, you will have become crystal clear about. When you are as passionate about loving as you are about breathing, you will have discovered the secret to its success.

Post a CommentGreat article Oscar.
i even just love the title because sometimes passion and love can be entwined and sometimes they are two different things, but great writing :)
