How You Can Be Discovered at Associated Content like Steve Joltin

Steve Joltin was Discovered Maybe We Can Be Discovered Too

Shana Dines
Writing for Associated Content isn't just about getting noticed. It isn't about the money and the performance bonuses. We all would like to make money from our writing. Associated Content is about being heard, read, and being noticed. For me Associated Content is also about making friends. Learning more about others, reading news and getting information. I also love reading poetry and short stories. There is a little bit of everything at Associated Content.

What I didn't expect was to hear was that one of my dear friends would be discovered at Associated Content! Steve Joltin is experienced in just about everything. He is a gifted writer. He has been a professional poker player and many other things. He writes about his experiences and his wisdom. He has written on many different ways to make money and how to find gold and silver.

He is witty and charming. He is very funny and has written some short stories that is from his life experiences. I especially love his story on Rats in New York City. This is the story that got him recognized by someone who was writing a documentary for the History Channel. Yes, they read Steve's story about the rats in New York City and contacted him personally.

Steve told us that he was interviewed after being discovered here at Associated Content. He had an all expense paid trip for him and his wife to New York City.

When you get a chance watch him on the History Channel. I am sure it will be rerun many times. It is on the MonsterQuest series about giant rats in New York City. Steve's true story is about witnessing a woman being attacked by a giant rat. It is bone chilling
There are many other true stories accounts.

It was funny to see the cameramen and scientists attaching a tiny camera to the back of an anesthetized rat. It wasn't funny for the rat. I actually felt sorry for it. It was waddling and trying to walk with this heavy camera attached to its back. A mini harness or a bra like apparatus held it on. I was cheering the rat on as it wriggled its way out of the harness that held the camera.

There is much more on the documentary. They are trying to find one of the hybrid rats that is reputed to be about 5 pounds. There is a part where a maintenance man is called to remove a rat that came up 4 or 5 flights through the sewer pipes into a woman's toilet. That was really creepy. I was glad they didn't show the demise of the rat.

Back to the subject at hand, you may be discovered at Associated Content too. It is not out of the realm of possibility. Keep on writing even if you don't get discovered it is still some cash, depending on how hard you work and how good you are. Most of all you can write what you want and actually get paid to do it. You also get to know great people like my friend Steve Joltin.
