One style will require black cardstock or stationery and envelopes, a silver gel pen, translucent white paper strong enough for printing, acrylic paints in the other colors of the wedding and green, paint brushes, and rubber cement. Buy extra of all the paper in case mistakes are made. A guillotine paper cutter will be useful for cutting down cardstock to the same width and twice the height of the envelopes. The translucent white paper should be trimmed so that when placed on a sheet of the black stationery at least ΒΌ inch shows all the way around. Fold all the paper in half so that it fits into the envelopes. Print the wedding details on the white paper. Apply a thin layer of rubber cement about 2 inches square to the middle of the inside of the black paper, allow it to dry and adhere the white paper to it gently. On the front of the card, paint a loose representation of a flower. Address each envelope with the silver pen.
Another way to achieve writing on the black paper is to use cut-outs. In order to achieve this effect, you will need twice as much black cardstock as you need invitations, thinner stationery paper in the other main wedding color, appropriately themed decorative hole punches (or something like a cricut machine), a ruler and utility knife, and adhesive. Cut and fold the card stock as in the first style. The black front of the card should be cut-out with the hole punches. The non-black paper should be printed with wedding details and the printed area should be measured. The bottom of the second sheet of black paper should be cut out in a rectangle slightly larger than the printing. The paper should then be glued together in a stack with the front on the outside, the other color in the middle and the black paper with the rectangle on the inside. White envelopes or envelopes in the secondary color can be used.
