How Does God Spend His Day - Part 2

From a Believer's Perspective

Alisande
The morning dew has fallen,
a new day has begun,
The dawn gives way to the rising sun . . .

Good morning, my child!
Hast thou slept well?
I've created this day for thee,
and so many others as well.

Yes, thank You, dear Jesus,
it is a lovely day.
You know all the things
I must do today,
but first, oh my Lord,
I worship Thee,
and come to Thy Word
'till Thy Will I see.
I know I have so many things
I must do,
but first, my Lord,
I come to you...

Thank you, my Lord,
for the flowers You've sent me.
How I see Your hand
in their beauty and variety!

Oh, child, that's just a fraction
of what I want to give you,
Come up closer, My child,
I'll show you what to do.

Father, You know all the problems
that I'm trying to bear,
and You promised You'd take them
if I cast them here.
So Lord, take away anything
that will harm me;
Give me Thy counsel
so nothing will alarm me.
Oh, give me fresh water
of Thy Living Word;
I thirst, oh my God,
to see You live, my Lord!

Each day when I ask You
to come into my life,
You faithfully answer
and calm all my strife.
The things in this world
can never quench my thirst,
only Thy Presence
I must seek first.

Oh Lord, my desire
is to do Thy Will,
For I know why I'm here -
Your Word I fulfill.
And I know that Thou goest ahead
in all that I do;
and I know that Thou drawest near
when I draw near to You.

Let's go, my Lord,
as I attend to my chores.
You've given me this day,
I want it to be Yours!

Oh Father, I see so much pain
all around me....
Why, oh why, doesn't anyone
believe what I see?

Be patient, my child,
remember when thou was lost?
How you couldn't comprehend
that I already paid the cost,
and you didn't know
that I held you anyway?
Remember my Word,
just look to Me;
It will be known someday....

Thank You, my Lord,
yet it hurts when I see
so many not knowing
You've set us all free.
Help me, dear Jesus,
to be what You desire,
and give me the chance
to display my heart's fire.

Oh God, how I love
to talk of Thy deeds!
Father, may they see
You fulfill all our needs.

Thank You, my Lord,
for Thy angels surrounding me.
I know Thou art keeping
dangers from coming around me.
And Thou hast promised
to keep me in perfect peace,
if I keep my mind on Thee,
and let evil thoughts cease.
So I ponder the things
You've said in Thy Word,
and I know I walk in liberty,
for Thou art my Lord!

Thank You, my Lord,
for bringing me safely home.
Now, I have some free time,
can we spend it alone?

Oh Father, You know
how much I trust Thee.
I'm listening, my Lord,
to all You entrust to me.

Then open My Word, child -
I'll show thee things to come.
And I'll whisper to thee
what you will become.

What do you think, my child,
of the new things I've made known?
Can you comprehend
the purpose I've shown?

Oh Lord, how you thrill me,
when You tell me things new!
How I delight to know
what really is True!
For there's so much that's false
and oh, so wrong;
yet You've allowed me to discern
what doesn't belong.
(Oh, just to look upon Thee,
You show me things I never knew I could see!)

My child, how it pleases Me
to see your delight!
Yet, there's still so much more
I'd like to make Light.
Let Me be thy Guide
to keep you from harm.
Will you head My warnings
and not be alarmed?

Oh God, these things
You have been showing to me
take me way beyond
my finite reality!
You've lifted me up
to a glorious high place,
and I bow in reverence
before Thy Holy Face.
Oh God, Thou art worthy,
and Thou alone!
How much longer, my Lord,
'till we can come home?

Just a little bit longer, My child;
our work is not done.
You know it's not my desire
to lose a single one.

Yea, Lord, I know of Thy
long-suffering and grace,
but what could I do?
They laugh in my face...

Remember, My child,
they made fun of Me, too...
But, don't worry,
they are not rejecting you.
It's My Word that you live
that creates a fight -
It pierces through their darkness,
and shine so bright,
that at first they fear,
and are blinded by It..
But, My child, stay near,
you'll see some who will try It.
For My sheep are all scattered,
and can't find their way home,
that's why I send you,
and you're never alone.

Yea, Lord, I know
Thou never will leave me,
and You promised that You'd be
always with me, even in me.

Oh Lord, thank You for
this day You have given.
Help me, tomorrow, to tell others
they are forgiven.

Let me rest now, my Lord,
I need my sleep.
Remember the souls
I've asked You to keep.
I know that Thy Word
shall never fail,
so I give Thee the burden
of these for whom I travail.
I trust they will come
if they are Thine,
and all things work for good
in Thine own perfect time.

Sleep on, My child,
in peace and don't fear.
Perhaps, tomorrow,
I'll give you someone who'll hear....

The darkness I spread
as a blanket upon thee.
Sleep on,
for maybe tomorrow,
my love, they will see....
