How to Dominate Google Creativity

Zac Linzmeier
If you are involved in SEO in any way shape or form then you have probably noticed that is becoming increasingly more difficult and competitive to dominate Google's search engine results pages. The real key, it would seem, to dominating Google is to be creative. Stop building backlinks from blog posts like everyone else and their moms' and try to stay a step ahead. Here are some great examples of how people have been able to dominate Google in the past through creativity, let it inspire you to put a new spin on things in order to succeed.

One of the best strategies, and a still working one, for dominating Google for your blog is to focus on long tail keywords and third party authority sites instead of trying to get your blog to rank well for a short and high competition keyword. Two of the best sites for doing this are Digg and Yahoo! Answers, although the creative spin here is to not use these authority sites as intended. On Digg a submitted story will rank on page one of Google for up to a few days for the title if it is a long tail keyword. Therefore, make a new blog post with the content centering on a long tail keyword. Now submit this post to Digg with your long tail keyword as the title and description. You now have one of the top spots in Google for this long tail keyword and will dominate Google search traffic; the best part is that it only took a few seconds as opposed to weeks or months to get your own web page there. This same idea can be applied to Yahoo! Answers. Make a question that is phrased as a long tail keyword, something such as 'where to buy business cards?' now make a second account and answer the question with your URL, switch back to the first account and choose it as best answer. What you have now accomplished is a free and relevant backlink to your business cards website and also your Yahoo! Answers posting being at the top of Google for searches 'where to buy business cards', getting your whole site to rank for a bunch of long tails would take forever, with these methods it only takes seconds.

The next best way to dominate Google is through link bait; make other build up your position by talking about and linking to you. Provide something shocking and compelling, something original and highly entertaining. Just submit it to social bookmarking sites and let people start blogging about it and linking to you. You will dominate Google in no time and everyone else will be doing your SEO for you!

Hopefully now you can see how to deviate from the standard build links 24/7 routine and excel at dominating Google with a little bit of creativity and outside the box thinking. Take what you learned here, apply it and expand on it.
