Donating at Christmas to help kids can be done many different ways. A person can donate without anyone knowing who did the donation while others would like people to know their donation.

One of the most popular places to donate at is Toys for tots. Toys for tots normally will have a drop off box in local discount stores such as Wal-Mart. Toys for tots have been around for years collecting and giving toys to needed children.

Salvation Army has programs to give food and gifts to needy children. Salvation Army will be in local store around the town or city for money collection to help with the giving to needy families. A person can also drop off gifts and food at the local Salvation Army office.

Angle trees are a good source to pick a child or more to see what they really want for Christmas. The Angle tree can be found in most cities and towns in their stores. The Angle tree is a tree set up in stores with a paper with a child's age, sometime first name, could have clothing size on the paper and has wishes they would like for Christmas. Once you choose a child, you buy the gifts, wrap them and take them to a designate place where they will deliver to the children.

Local TV stations and radio stations usually can offer assistant with some charities that are helping families out. They usually will know where or when donation center are and when they are excepting gifts.

Local schools and churches can assist with help finding families or kids to donate Christmas presents to. With schools and churches, they get to know the community and can offer suggestions of who can really use the help.

Donations can be small to large no matter what a person can afford some kid will have a dream come true during this Christmas season. Making donations can be in money, gifts, or even helping a needy kid, or family.

Taking a child out for a fun day in the snow or just shopping can help them feel the spirit of Christmas without the present. Maybe making Christmas cookies and sweets with a child or young adult can be a donation of time which both of you can enjoy. Sometimes them just knowing some really cares at the holiday season is enough for them.
